Franklin Regional High School Choir Performance at the O'Rielly Theater was Spectacular
On Dec 15, 2007 6:49 PM
The concert given at the O'Rielly Theater by the Franklin Regional High School Jazz Choir was just beautiful today. Green sleeves was the opening number and set the scene in the O'Rielly Lobby for an unexpected and brilliant event. An A cappella Carol done by the girl section was stunning. The boys proved to be equally as talented showmen with their happy version of Jingle Bells. I have never heard it done better! Erin mesmerized the audience with the magnificent solo "Mary, did you know?" which was delivered with beauty and reverence. Sleigh Ride was great fun to hear as it is always a favorite of mine since performing it live with my husband in the South Hills Catholic Concert Band. Choral Director, Kris Rust conducted a perfectly melodic group with style and pizzazz. You are all truly the "Lights" we can all live well by. Thank You for a wonderful addition to an all ready special afternoon at the matinee performance of "This Wonderful Life" Fabulously performed by Mark Setlock, for which he had won the 2000 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Solo Performance, but you all may know him best from "Law and Order" and "All My Children". He brought a tear in the eye of everyone in attendance. They all admitted it to me after the show at my place!
Thank You for devoting your time to music for us all to enjoy. I am glad that the arts gave you a platform today. Your hard work and talent were truly apparent in a Concert perfectly well done.
